Phenomenal Company to Work For!

Business Analyst (Current Employee) South Salt Lake, UT

ProsCollaborative team based environment, everyone has a voice at the table, easy access to senior leadership, well developed structure (in my group) for career planning and leaders that help you sculpt a plan to achieve your own individual goals, commitment to making employees work experiences richer and more meaningful

ConsNo forced turnover in most groups, even when there are low performers. Tougher for energetic and idea driven younger individuals to supplant incumbents. Tenure can be a real barrier to entry in some roles. Highly motivated individuals will not wait decades for their 'turn'

Advice to Senior ManagementNot much honestly, I believe leadership at IH does an incredible job with the more limited resources than their 'for-profit' peers have access to. Consider strategies helping motivated and educated individuals into pathways to eventual senior leader roles without leaving the company to get outside experience and prevent some of the intellectual attrition that is occurring when people have to leave to seek opportunities. They may just not come back.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Intermountain Healthcare Systems Support Technician

Systems Support Tech (Current Employee) Murray, UT

I have been working at Intermountain Healthcare full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: Decent benefits (Health Insurance, PTO, 401K match, Flexible Scheduling) Cons: Stagnant Pay (annual raises are non-existant), little to no opportunity for advancement. Raises average… Advice to Senior Management: Instead of spending millions to hold "employee appreciation week activities" try giving… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
