I worked at Internap Network Services

Pros

VP leadership seems to be in place now, just need someone above to incentivize them to work together.

Cons

Departmental technology silos strained ability to get anything done across the boundaries.
Managers did little to discourage silos and so implicitly furthered silos.
Some groups attempted to work with others, but a few really self-interested apples spoil the bunch.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look into your director's performance--is there quality there or is it all just perception?
How do they direct their reports and how have their reports responded to their direction?
Do you want to accept the status quo or take a chance at success? So far the former is the rule of thumb.
Hire a CTO to provide a unified technology vision.

    Very deceiving and terrible management

I have been working at Internap Network Services

    Pros

    Great benefits
    Decent Salary
Great coworkers (with the exception of management)

    Cons

There is little to no training, your quota will increase as soon as you sign your offer letter, majority of your time will be spent prospecting internally with executives to get them to approve pricing that is already about 50% more than the industry average. This all leaves little to no time to prospect for new business. Account bases...don't even bother trying for one even though it was probably promised during your interview because they have been picked dry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop lying to potential employees to get them to work there, don't stand in front of the entire company and say "we will not quit on you, this job is hard and it takes a good 13 months to ramp up" because you do not mean it! Support new reps and give them more training so they have a chance at making it!

I worked at Internap Network Services

    Pros

small teams, good people, reasonable autonomy to do the job and manage my time as I saw fit.

    Cons

Senior management's due diligence on M&A was shoddy, This caused massive transition pains and ultimately layoffs of many employees resulting in higher work loads for those remaining. Those executives have also been replaced.
