Current Employee - Certification Representative in Reno, NV
No opinion of CEO

Pros

IGT offers the best benefits package in town. Three weeks paid vacation to start out. Room for growth and career paths if dedicated.

Cons

Employee reduction (layoffs). Reduced benefits (profit sharing/raises). Not holding management accountable for their failures. Possible move of HQ from Reno to Las Vegas?

Advice to Management

Executive management should hold mangers accountable for their failures. It seems some managers have been at IGT for 10, 15 and 20 years who don't have a clue as to what they are doing. If you're going to replace your top management and get rid of regular employees please do the same with middle management.

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Reno, NV
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The environment in this department was very friendly. People are very willingly to help each other out and there is no sense of backstabbing or competition. As a new hire, you will have someone to be your mentor until you are ready to set yourself off.

    Cons

With any companies with deadlines, you will need to provide additional effort when needed. Since this is salaried, you will get no over time compensation.

    Advice to Management

Three corporate restructuring within a year span brings a lot of pressure to the employees. Additional effort needed can bring down morale and well being of employees.
