I have been working at International Paper full-time

    Pros

Seems to be stable company. Its a very big company. Pay meets the market.

    Cons

You do as your told. Micro managed to death. There seems to be a lot of back stabbing. no one trust anybody. Nobody really seems to care or be invested in the operation. We just show up and do as we are told. Good or bad. if a problem or something bad happens the managers all go into a blame game.
All the new managers seem like they don't want to be there or they just don't care. Our site is punishment duty for them it seems. Before you do anything you better have someone else set up that you can blame it it goes wrong. Your manager has you set up for their failures

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Share the goals. Let the employees become apart of the process. Place blame where it is belongs. One person is not responsible for failures. We will succeed if we act as a whole company trying to achieve a common goal. If we fail we all fail.

    Pros

Benefits, room to grow, salary, performance structure

    Cons

Management turnover, overall poor morale in departments, very poor training for new employees, had to train new management repeatedly

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to listen to the employees that are making you those big bucks instead of hiding in your offices
