    Pros

Fast paced, useful, contributing to society by the work you do . Case management for a diverse population can be incredibly rewarding. ISOS operations offers this opportunity. If you speak another language, it offers a way of using it for translation.

    Cons

Mid management +draconian management. The culture of operations is not unlike being high school. The tattling of tongues, the cliques, all make for an unpleasant work environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Read the Book DRIVE by Daniel Pink SERIOUSLY! It is not all about the money one earns, rewards from management can be provided by many of the ideas and research provided by Daniel Pink.

I have been working at International SOS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There is a good feeling in this organization generally. People care about each other and the work they do, and there is pride about what this company accomplishes for its clients. Pay is okay and benefits are very good, with a good vacation policy. The opportunity to learn is great if you look for it, and there are chances for international work for those who want that.

    Cons

Internal departments are understaffed and no investment in technology or systems. A lot of bureaucratic procedures, make it hard to get things done. Some senior leaders are total micro-managers. Good people with the experience to make needed change sometimes just leave in frustration. While most middle-managers are great people who care about their people, some very bad managers are tolerated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring the company into the 21st century with systems and management philosophy. Your history and products are awesome. Your employees are passionate about the mission, and want to serve clients with high-quality and care.
