Pros

Most people know the systems/processes and know what they are talking about (which surprisingly I find missing in many other companies).
Freedom to do things, make decisions. Competitive yet laid back work culture.
Not as much politics as I see in other companies in the industry.

Cons

Take this with a grain of salt since at my position I did not have that kind of visibility but I believe that top management could do a much better job.

    Pros

The only one I can think of is that I am not stuck there any more!

    Cons

Very poor communication between management and employees. Frequent lay offs. They force you to take vacation when business is bad. Don't be fooled by what they tell you your bonus "could" be. They haven't met their target in years and bonuses are rarely paid out, if they are paid, they are minimal. Stock keeps going down. Benefits are ok but not great compared to other companies. People are not happy and they are leaving for better opportunities. This company does not care about employees. It was a horrible place to work.

Bottom line - if you plan to interview with Intersil. ASK about layoffs, ASK about forced vacations, ASK what % prior bonuses were paid out at. In other words, ASK, ASK, ASK and then ASK some more.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get it together! If you don't make changes soon, Intersil is going to go down the tubes. Stop lying to employees!
