Former Employee - Applications Manager in Milpitas, CA

I worked at Intersil full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Work with very talented and dedicated engineers. Great benefits. Many products are unique and customer driven giving a leading edge engineering experience. Fairly relaxed atmosphere.

    Cons

Some products had inherent bugs that were difficult for the customer to deal with and hard for applications to debug. Management focus resulted in constant restructuring that shed some good talent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If there is a core competency to the company work to keep the engineering intact, that is your most valuable resource. Chasing various markets without firm revenue long term is not a steady growth strategy.
