I have been working at Inteva Products full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Interiors engineering is the best job I've ever had. Almost like a family, but you can't be a hack and expect to survive long. I hear closures is pretty good as well. Hired new V.P. of engineering, and he seems to be the leader that engineering needs - collaborative while providing strong direction (we'll see).

    Cons

Company operates in silos; cross functional collaboration is almost non-existent. So many opportunities are left on the table because of this. Interiors manufacturing needs to be more pro-active and a little less risk averse (easy for me to say I suppose). Many people are overburdened in manuf - some are not doing much.

    Advice to Management

Most of the opportunities for improvement lie in inter-department collaboration; stop slinging barbs at each other - you are all on the same team. Help each other with your weaknesses, and capitalize on each others strengths.

I worked at Inteva Products as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Staff is friendly eager to teach and help. There are a good amount of different projects to get involved in because automotive is ever changing. Three shifts totaling 24hrs a day so finding a shift to fit your schedule or lifestyle is easy.

    Cons

Manufacturing issues such as product changes and supplier issues kind of make it hard to make effective changes. The customer is very demanding which can completely throw off everything.

    Advice to Management

As with all companies continue to improve communication and synergy for success.
