I have been working at Intuit as a contractor (less than an year)

Pros

Family friendly, steady and calm work environment. People obsessed with listening to the customers.

Cons

Can be slow to react to market opportunities. A bit too much process to allow people to be nimble. Theres is some dead wood at the upper levels.

I have been working at Intuit full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Work-life balance. Nice people. Easy going. Decent pay.

    Cons

Entire company just rides on the back of Turbo Tax as the rain maker. Too hard to get actual products out the door. Not much upward career mobility.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take some risks. Make some bets where we actually put something on the line. Put forth a lofty vision to redefine and own something, and actually make a commitment to it that doesn't change every year.
