Intuit Product Manager in Mountain View, CA:   (Current Employee)

Pros

I chose Intuit coming out of business school because I was impressed with the maturity of their product management discipline and their fanatical customer focus. The employees are a bit on the older side, so it's a great plus if you have a family and need better work/life balance.

Cons

Unfortunately, Intuit is a large company and suffers from the ill effects. It is often more tenure-based than a meritocracy. You work at a position for 2 years then hopefully get a promotion. Lastly, depending on your group, you can sometimes get bogged down by the bureaucracy especially in the older desktop teams.

Advice to Senior Management

The company has gone through a number of recent reorgs which has caused a lot of people to shift to new bosses. Now, we need to stay the course and give our recent strategy a chance to work.
