Pros

Ensures excellent work life balance (in some cases this can be blessing for those looking forward to family life - work balance) Good Perks Allow mobility between various functions (Dev, QA, PM)

Cons

Lack of drive to adapt quickly/experiment with new technologies Lacks dedicated R&D department that looks at pool of great technologies available to customize them for scalability and high performance than simply writing a wrapper around it

Advice to Management

Should ensure that Intuit becomes more technically savvy (Currently, it seems to be known more for PM and XD focussed activities. Also there is greater need for improving technical focus of QA specifically focussing on improving their Performance, Automation and Security testing skills)

    Pros

The company takes time to listen to feedback and acts on it relatively quickly. They pride themselves on employee feedback participation and acknowledge all major concerns within each business unit. The social events matter to Intuit, as with any company, so expect to be spoiled a little.

    Cons

This technology company runs like a small business rather than a corporation: be prepared to bob-and-weave like a small company. Change is constant.

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep the micro-management to a minimum and remember to keep the snack bar stocked.

  2. Great Leadership Factory

    Pros

Intuit invests a lot in the professional development of it's employees and gives lots of opportunities for those who want to grow. The company definitely values employees.

    Cons

It can move slow when it comes to decision making and innovation. There is a lot more talk and pride in small things that are "sexy" but with little impact when it comes to innovation than there is real action and impact that is meaningful.
