limited career mobility
unseasoned management team
way too political

Advice to Senior Management

Continue to buy SAAS properties, we can't envision and build them with the current team
SB product management is lost, inept
focus on execution, front-line employees
hire a COO, Brad is great leading in front, but we need to start executing better
stop the binary practice of recycling failed managers or hiring outside managers--take risks on internal promotions

Senior Management has become drunk with "hiriing from the outside". Managers say your doing great in your current role, but wont support stretch assignments to allow managers to grow, or worse ignore prior experience of employees that can be leveraged: ... rather they hire externally...so far all the "new blood" hasn't delivered the goods

imagine my surprise when I read today's NYT article with new VP Aaron Patzer! here we have brand new management already badmouthing parts of the company in his interview (poor "foreign" helpdesk--I'm sure our employees in India appreciate that; the dull workplace). And also reveling in how his people are "running the show"! Duh, mgmt 101 here. At least the current management is careful to speak highly of the company in the press, and Bennett would never stand for this kind of immature display of "leadership". I hope Smith did not approve the article's content, and that Patzer gets brought in line.
