Politics and power grabs are replacing the culture of collaboration

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Mountain View, CA

ProsProducts and services are truly focused on a customer-back approach...everyone seems truly committed to solving customer unmet needs

ConsLeadership bench at VP level is weak....so VPs who fail continue to lead orbs, and leaders who clearly do not "share intuit values" remain in key roles because there is no known successor

Recent major reorgs don't make much sense. Lots of org, product, customer mad market overlap between business units. Overly complicated decision making...slow and painful. Leaders play lots of politics to get resources. Some actively and openly do not collaborate...but stay on because they hit their numbers.

People are getting rewarded for being the loudest voice in the room...regardless of outcome. Optics are slowly replacing results.

Less than 1 of 7 acquisitions lead to real, recurring revenue. And this is trumpeted as success.

Advice to Senior ManagementSenior leadership is aware of this feedback. They have chosen to allow behavior outside of the hallowed company values. Say/Do ratio is not what it used to be

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Pros: Very employee friendly attitude. Good for people inspired to innovate. Cons: Too many Re-Orgs. That change is not managed very well… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
