I worked at Invenio Solutions full-time for more than a year

Pros

If you live in North Austin, the location is good. They hire experienced, often older workers and I liked the maturity and cooperativeness among workers. Free coffee and sometimes food is provided as an incentive to skip going to lunch and to bring in the business.

Cons

Cubicle farm. Senior management is deliberately deceitful, saying one thing and doing another. They promise the moon for bonus earnings and deliver peanuts, especially in the government and health care sectors. The customer list is the bottom of the barrel, and it becomes clear over time that you are being strung along.

A senior manager sneaks up on people and taps them on the shoulder. Surprise - you just jumped out of your skin! He gets a kick out of it. He monitors your computer screen and paces up and down the aisles as well.

Recently an employee left Glassdoor.com informaton in common areas. A management memo went out asking managers to post glowing reviews.

Hourly pay is decent as a base - but since it is all most people actually earn, it turns out not to be a good scenario. They hire constantly - because there is so much turnover - higher than I have ever seen. Fortunately, Austin is a healthy job market.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to this feedback. Ultimately the company's bottom line will be adversely impacted and it will not acheive the growth it aspires to. Try treating others as you wish to be treated.

I have been working at Invenio Solutions

    Pros

    - Access to the same training material as a Microsoft FTE
    - The opportunity to further develop your sales skills in different campaigns and teams
    - Employees are treated and managed as a person, not as a number
    - Executive team has an aggressive plan within the next 3 years and driven to achieve it
    - The opportunity to advance within the company. A person can start in a Tier 1 role and with strong results and the extra drive, that person can move to a Tier2 or Tier3 role.
    - Big believers in training, not just initial training, but ongoing training to further develop a person’s sales skills

    Cons

    - The culture of the company is still missing. Not sure who owns this, but this needs to be implemented or reevaluated from the top down. Your employees are a key to your current and future success; you need to take care of them.
    - Communication is key, but at times it's missing. Due to this, mixed messages are spread within the company
    - Recognition needs to be increased.
    - Open the wallet some and provide cash incentives for your employees, have a company picnic, BBQ for your employees or do something that the Top Business to work for in Austin are doing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Need to walk the sales floor more. You need to interact with your employees more, not just when their numbers are down, but when they are just at their desk doing their job. You need to build that open line of communication
    - Attend team meetings and share insight about the business and where we are as a company
    - Recognize or congratulate an employee on a job well done in front of their peers

    I worked at Invenio Solutions

    Pros

Open communication of all managers. Reasonable hours. Pleasant working environment and many very experienced tech sales people. Eclectic, upbeat sales culture mirrors a major software company that is a client. Decent training process.

    Cons

Contracts can end at any time. Health benefits and accrued time paid time off policy is way below par for a company this size and for the higher end sales focus. Tedious processes takes energy away from selling. Cube farm. Some areas experience more turnover than others.
