    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Involver full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    * Friendly, smart, and social group of people * Casual work environment * Free breakfast and snacks

    Cons

*Total lack of product direction. Involver should have picked one area to focus on and become a leader in that area. Instead, they ended up taking on random projects and partnerships and being mediocre in a bunch of areas. They really stopped being innovative with new additions to the platform that competitors didn't have about 2 years ago. Far too many 1-off custom projects are taken on that take up a lot of resources but don't improve the platform at all. *Lack of communication between sales, engineering, and product teams. The product roadmap was always changing and teams were kept in the dark about changes to it until after the fact. This lack of transparency was definitely bad for morale and hurt the overall work environment as there was a lot of bickering between teams. * Seems to have plateaued with both technology and revenue while other competitors in the space have excelled and recently been acquired.

    Advice to Management

Create more transparency between the product, engineering, and sales teams so everyone is on the same page in regards to the direction of the company. Figure out what your focus is going to be and then put a lot of resources into that while not taking on random 1-off custom projects that distract the company from improving the platform.

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Excellent technology, interesting space to work in

    Cons

Corporate Culture and work environment poor. Employees have no idea they are about to be sacked and may find out by reading job boards. Unrealistic financial expectations for Sales. Very old-school male dominated company.

    Advice to Management

If there are people in place who represent an old and obsolete way of doing business, let them go. The internal conflicts in this company are a problem. New management came in to turn things around and it's hard to maintain a good attitude. Stop being so secretive, don't hire a new employee before you have let the current one know he's out.
