Former Employee - Senior Research Executive in London, England (UK)
Former Employee - Senior Research Executive in London, England (UK)

I worked at Ipsos full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Talented colleagues, supportive and creative environment, inspirational senior management, varied and interesting workload, opportunity to follow own interests and manage own workload. The company is well known and respected which makes it a great place to start a career in Market Research.

Cons

Very low salary considering level of responsibility expected of junior staff, poor work-life balance, difficult to stand out from the crowd. Allowing staff to manage their own workloads can also mean that some members of staff take on a lot more than others (with little effort made to change this by line managers).

I have been working at Ipsos full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay packets are fixed and no variables
New Recruits will get good learning in coming years
Everything is same and it's not different from IMRB, TNS and Nielsen
Life is amazing if your manager is good but the team lacks good managers

    Cons

    HR Policies sucks
    Learning is limited
Trainings will be done but there will no projects on those subjects
You will be a operational executive and will do lots of co-ordination
Bosses will remember to screw you at time of appraisals and not round the year
    Fieldwork quality is pathetic
You will be a responsible manager and not research manager
If you have variable that will never get paid. Business margins are low and employee salaries are high.
