I have been working at Ipsos

Pros

Great management
Fantastic coworkers
Good job of recognizing individuals for exceptional performance. Promote employees when appropriate.

Cons

The only con would be the pay. I think they are average or a bit below in the industry.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay employees based on the amount of work they do. If someone is managing 50% of a team's work, their bonus should reflect this!

    I worked at Ipsos

    Pros

Full of smart people who are very committed to the research they do and the value they bring to their clients.

    Cons

Company is largely built via acquisition which leads to some cultural challenges between divisions as well as difficulty sharing information.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to work on breaking down silos.

I have been working at Ipsos

    Pros

Company reputation, 'tools and techniques' available, client roster, strength of moderation team. The 'worker bees' are generally competent and want to do the right thing.

    Cons

Senior management -- incompetent, inconsistent, unfocused, ill-prepared. High level of bureacracy. Unfocused strategic plan (that changes almost weekly!). Senior hiring decisions are all too often based on folks who 'look good' on paper, but don't have a clue how to actually DO their jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pick a path and stick to it. Recognize and reward (and I'm NOT just talking about money!) the folks who are actually DOING the work. Embrace diversity, and encourage different points of view.
