I have been working at Iron Data

    Pros

Interesting work, good growth opportunities, potential for international expansion, good people to work with, seen as a market leader in the public sector software space.

    Cons

The fast paced environment sometimes makes for a chaotic environment. There are sometimes a lack of processes which can cause some inconsistencies in performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to develop processes to support the growth of the company. Acquistions create more complexity and thus processes will be necessary to better integrate the companies.

I have been working at Iron Data

    Pros

It USED to be a great company...
Management respected us (workers) and we did our best for the company to succeed...
It all changed , when the new "public sector" manager was hired 4 years ago

    Cons

The new "public sector" manager was showing no respect to the workers.
During his management time (last 4 years) the workers did not get a single dollar in salary increase,
but he spent thousands for building his personal washroom.
Bonuses were given on his own discretion - not based on the performance.
Christmas presents were cancelled the 1st year he stepped up and never came back.
He was not ashamed to give his food leftovers to the kitchen for the workers.
He succeeded to create such a hostile environment in the office that the best workers with huge experience had to leave the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is very regretable, that the Iron Data top management was closing their eyes on what was really happening in Toronto office. You should have got rid of this "public sector" manager 3 years ago.
Well, you did it too late, and you have to start re-building this company from the scratch.
