I toiled for a multinational data protection company and learned that data security is important for individuals, too.

Pros

There was an adequate training regiment in place and the supervisors were will qualified and dedicated. The hours were flexible and the pay was reasonable.

Cons

There was no actual opportunity for advancement within the company. You were pretty much stuck at the level in which you entered. The best chances for improving one's lot came through relocating to another state.

Advice to Management

The higher echelons need to better address favoritism and bias existing within individual departments and shifts.

    Pros

I was able to work independently and was given the opportunity to learn a variety of different skills. Some managers were terrific to work with & really helped me to develop my career.

    Cons

There were some managers who did not know what they were doing. There was a lot of productivity standards that were very difficult to meet. Some behavior was excused when one person did it, but not the other.

    Advice to Management

Be consistent in company rules/policies and when reprimanding employees.

    Pros

Our department has good communication so that everyone knows what's going on. No secrets between any of the levels of management. There are opportunities for working on different projects so things are always interesting.

    Cons

There are been three layoffs in the past three years. There is a search for a new CEO and therefore there is some sense of not knowing where we will be focusing in the coming year.

    Advice to Management

Keep tabs on the pay scales within a department.
