Current Employee – been working at J. C. Penney

Pros – JCPenney, at least the location I worked at, was a "family" atmosphere. A lot of the managers have been there for years, and it was very tough to leave. Although the stresses of retail are still present, as in every other retail store, the fellow associates made it a little easier to deal with the difficult customers. Overall, a wonderful place to work.

Cons – Of course, retail hours interfere with personal obligations at times.

Advice to Senior Management – Just pay more attention to what the employees need and are asking for whether directly or indirectly. When the associates know you truly care, it makes a world of difference.
