    Pros

Good pay, respect of schedules, good learning experience for customer service, team work from most employees, fairly easy dress code to follow.

    Cons

Disorganized management, little respect for employees, too high of expectations, bad communication, too must leniency for associates who do not do their job, almost every manager is rude, training is not efficient for working on the floor.

    Advice to Management

Managers need to have more respect for associates, there is too much communication between management as well. There are things associates are not supposed to do and some managers forbid it while others say it's fine. There needs to be a set of ground rules and every manager needs to follow them. Also, when associates are doing a good job it should be made clearer and managers need to stop taking their anger out on associates. Also, training of new employees is not sufficient.

  2. Working at JC Penney's is terrible.

    Pros

JC Penny's is a great place to work for teens whom just want a little cash, it also could be a good first job also. Managment is pretty good and they do not mind working around your schedule if need be.

    Cons

The pay is terrible! Use JC Penney's could really just be a second job for gas money alone...but if you are trying to pay for an apartment or a house alone, obviously this would not be the place to work.

    Advice to Management

If you don't want turn over, I would REALLY suggest paying employees a bit more money.
