Pros

They give you a good amount if hours

Cons

If you work around the holidays they have you do tedious things, managers never learned my name, they didn't even realize if I didn't go to work or left early.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get to know your holiday workers and make they feel important too.

    Pros

    great salary and team that wants to do a good job.

    Cons

    reorganization with little to no communication. We had to go at it blind.
    No work life balance
    Store manager was terrible and would blow payroll on a regular basis to prepare for a visit but working entire time over night

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to your ASMs most actually want to do a good job and help the company success. dont over look HR issues. Give your stores the knowledge they need in advance to pull off these new expectations

    Pros

    Great work/ life balance. Able to work schedule that worked for me.

    Cons

    Too much turmoil the last year. Jobs eliminated, job titles changed, hours and pay cut.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The store modal was changed too drastically. Baby steps would have been better. Customers would have been more receptive to changes if sales and coupons weren't totally discontinued over night. All the staff changes changes and cuts at store level, has the stores filled with inexperienced part time help. The associates who spent their lives at JCPenney were tossed out as if they were no longer needed.
