Pros

No Pros any more as the company has changed.

Cons

The company has changed and no longer cares for it's associates. It's all about profits for the stock holders. Staff has been cut and service is poor because of it. Those who are left are over worked and show it in the attitues.

Time to reorganize...again!

I have been working at J. C. Penney part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The people there are great the employees are nice once you get to know them. Very friendly and helpful. Discount is good 25% off on merchandise.

    Cons

Managers are usually watching your very move, every week is different in hours you get. Pay is not good Minimum wage is start and raises could be only 10 cents a year. During holiday season they work you to death but then Jan. Feb months there is no work. There are black out days you can not take time especially when you have a family.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get to know your employes a little better - Happy people make good people who will work for you. Don't have them work until midnight one night then have them come in at 6am the next. Explain all the rule especially when you get a truck delivery. Also let them know the chain of communication who they report to and who they go to for hours. Communication is the key and it doesn't happen.
