    Pros

    flexible hours and scheduling
    great staff
    good training
I really enjoyed my time working at JC Penney...some of my favorite aspects were helping managers set up displays, getting stock out, helping customers in every way to find what they needed, and helping customers out to their cars.

    Cons

    late hours, esp during holidays
    covering shifts
This would probably be my least favorite thing about working for JC Penney, but late hours come with working in a retail store as does covering shifts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers have a choice when they are scheduling to use automated scheduling or to work out a fair schedule on their own. I have experienced being scheduled by managers using both of these methods and have found that it compromises the morale of employees when they feel they are being scheduled unfairly or unequally. Also, keeping people in their own area as much as possible because if someone is unfamiliar with a department it makes cleanup take longer and customers unhappy.
