I have been working at J. C. Penney part-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Get to work with some great people-- both fellow associates and customers. There is plenty of help, coaching to improve work skills, and become a better employee. Allows associates freedom to call the shots in their departments, take ownership.

Cons

Scheduling is hard to work through sometimes, have to schedule three weeks in advance in order to get time off. Not much room for position advancement, pay raises are hard to come by.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more flexible with scheduling and hire more workers! Be less angry when we associates have a life outside of work.

    Hours, Everyone is your friend (mostly), Bounces (2.00$ for every Credit Car Application You get, 0.50$ for Every Order you place for a customer) Ver flexible with your schedule as long as your a good worker Some times more bounces, Parties, ECT ECT ECT!!

    Cons

    When you close you stay sometimes after midnight,
