It was a great place with the right people, but the business model was not sustainable due to bleed out of great people.

Pros

Great networking, mentoring, diversity, and tons of projects if you want it.

Cons

Projects dead end pretty often and don't count on worklife balance.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Seriously listen to the people doing all the heavy lifting (the foot soldiers) and be willing to hire and promote those who deserve it based on performance. Also, the business model of outsource/offshoring has a way of returning and causing headaches for both clients and employees (especially those skilled).

I have been working at J.P. Morgan

    Pros

Large corporation, good benefits, job security. Generous per dorm for travel and business expenses. Interesting, challenging work. Good communications and teamwork at lower levels.

    Cons

Top heavy, too much upper management. Indecisive, constantly changing project perimeters mid-stream making it difficult to achieve deadlines and goals. Salary disparity between employees doing exactly the same job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more decisive, fully plan projects before implementation. Pay equal pay for equal work. Promote from within instead of bringing in outsiders.
