I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Solid, stable. Myriad of business lines and locations to choose from. Reasonable work/life balance. Surprisingly by 6pm office is almost empty. Flex work arranegments are allowed. Top global name, well respected in the industry.

    Cons

There is still huge overhang from all the past mergers. It is extremely ciloed, and every manager may impose their own view and philosophy, that may completely contradict the previous one, which becomes disorienting during frequent reorgs. Very political. Decisions are made not based on merits of proposal, but mainly from self-serving motivations. Constant positioning and jockeying for power among line managers.

    Advice to Management

Encourage some common culture. Encourage team work and prevent constant reinventing of the wheel by enforcing unified BPM. And please, ease up on reorgs every 6 months.
