Pros

Out of many banks I worked for Chase has been the best in the retail section for promotions and employee development. Those who complain that they cannot move up are just not the right fit or think it should be handed to them. Take charge of your own future!

Cons

work/life balance nonexistent in retail banking

    Pros

friendly, diverse, and overall great people. Management is superb. Lot's of opportunities within the company. The recruiting team does a good job of giving interns the best experience. The culture of the company is quite good for a bank.

    Cons

rigid corporate structure. Working in the backoffice can be REALLY boring. Lots of inefficiencies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work.

Former Employee - Operations Analyst in Chicago, IL

    Pros

Large, stable company with a good vision
Tons of resources to help do your job properly

    Cons

The large company can be intimidating if you aren't ready for it
Very specialized work doesn't leave room for much opportunity in other areas of the bank
    Internal mobility is very difficult

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

For corporate operations in particular: Trying to accomplish different things by moving the same management around to various job titles will not work. If someone has a history of failure in their position, they should not be given further management opportunities.
