Pros

JPM still matches up to 5% on the 401k plan and they give you a decent rate ( 4.5% and 5% of salary) on your retirement account.

Cons

1. They don't grandfather policy changes and so much has been taken away from employees who have put in their time. 2. JPM puts profits ahead of their customers which puts their employees in a constant struggle to keep up with their already heavy workloads. 3. Management falters and there are many layoffs but yet top management still get their yearly bonuses. 4. Money seems to stay ay the top will little to trickle down to the lower ranks who are the backbone of the organization.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I realize that times have changed with change coming faster than every and with that the organizations must adjust. However, JPM's customers and employees are now suffering because of the greed of upper management and the Board of Directors should be ashamed that they let this happen . Eventually this will catch up to JPM and I can't wait to see that day.

    Pros

Allow you the opportunity to focus on a specific topic area and develop deep knowledge. If you are aligned with a business that is considered strategically important there are opportunities for growth.

    Cons

Breadth of knowledge not valued or developed. Not an employee friendly place but they pay lip service to ideas like work/life balance. In some areas you can see they value style over substance.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Once you leave phones based position you will be exposed to a lot of interesting people in different departments located all over the world. You will acquire a lot of valuable experience and get to use new systems, software's and things like that . This company overall isn't bad but the corporate culture needs to chase especially at the call center locations

    Cons

The Chase Card politics are just ridiculous, once management determines that they dont you to advance in your career, the only choice you have from there is if they leave or you do. There's a lot of un-professionalism and jealousy from managers that will keep you moving up and advancing your career. Theres a lot of clicks and if you don't fit in with the cliques because you disapprove of their ways then your career there is doomed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If someone is qualified and has outlived the position they're in, its not right to try to block them from advancement because of your own insecurities, Writing people up for mundane things just because they have expressed an interest in advancement is highly unprofessional and ridiculous
