I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Leadership was mostly good minus a few managers that were only promoted because of who they knew.

Cons

Work life balance was not very good when I was employed there.

Very positive overall, but turned out to be 100% sales oriented, no focus on existing clients

I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity if you really ask for it and work hard. You can move up quick and be recognized. Reasonably competitive pay, great bonuses again if you put an amazing amount of hours in. Reasonably good access to training internal and external. Internal access to tools and technology have great improved the past three years. Good retirement, employer match to 401k, great dental and vision.

    Cons

Not of a lot of great technology managers with vision, those that do are awesome. Health Benefits are horrible. High senior management turnover, there are glass ceilings that you just can't break unless you know someone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop going outside the firm, develop internal technical talent before they leave.
