Former Employee - Senior Mortgage Underwriter in Troy, MI

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Job continued to evolve and training is continuous. Compensation is competitive, but the workload is commensurate with output expectations.

    Cons

Job expectancy is unreliable in banking. There is no loyalty to the workers who have been with the company for years and could be transferred to areas the bank needs new employees in. Compliance to management requirements is more important than ethical and legal requirements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Most management is fine.
