    I worked at J.P. Morgan

    Pros

Room for growth, lot of potential lateral moves. Encouraged and sponsored group social outings, help build teamwork. Direct management was always willing to listen to problems, open for discussion about improvements.

    Cons

Relative to other firms, compensation was not as competitive. Due to the merger with Chase, certain groups from different departments entered into areas where they were unqualified to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Retain and reward the good talent. Your competitors are willing to compensate well, and you will lose out good employees.

    Pros

Great Name recognition, Great opportunity to gather assets

    Cons

Compensation is relatively low for the first 3 years

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer Base Salary or Higher commission to FA, as they are required to act and operate as employees. Also consider Asset Bonuses. BBVA has a great model.
