“Good job and benefits, bad industry”
Current Employee – been working at JPMorgan Chase full-time for less than a year
Pros – Excellent sales bonuses
Great products on offer
Objective-oriented environment
Responsive Management
Cons – Industry environment is toxic; customer trust has been totally destroyed in the last few years.
How much you can make is highly dependent on your branch location.
Not really a good foot in the door for financial services; branch banking is very much retail sales, and isn't a whole lot different than working the floor at Sears or Best Buy.
Advice to Senior Management – It's going to take ten years or more for banking to be a respectable profession. Get out in front of these issues.
