Pros

The international network supports dissemination of knowledge. This is essential for skill upgradement. The stress is on creativity as large organiGMations are traditionally blamed for being not so creative - JWT has focused on this area of late. This has been done not at th cost of systems and processes that make working at JWT such a rewarding and learning experience. Method is the best learning to take from JWT.

Cons

Salaries are not best in sector. The appraisal system leaves a bit to be desired and there is altogether too much systems and process focus at times such that fresh talent and fresh ideas can be sacrificed on th altar of methodology.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work.

    Pros

Lots of great people. You can make real friends here. Very social environment. Fantastic roof terrace overlooking Knightsbridge. Right next to Hyde Park which is great in the summer. Bar downstairs. Lunchtime BBQs when the weather is good. Brand name carries weight. Can be a good place to train. Potentially a good place to network, depending on what department you're in. Company is making an effort to create more digital and new media initiatives.

    Cons

Compensation substandard. Salary increases can be challenging to get. Many people leave to get paid more. Management lacks transparency. Can be political and bureaucratic. Very much an old-boys club. Account management department all over the place, hence many projects never go away. Many people from junior to senior staff get away with very rude and aggressive behavior that would be unacceptable elsewhere. Takes a long time to get anything done due to the size of the agency.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value employees and treat them with respect. Pay people appropriately in order to retain some of the terrific talent at JWT. Work to maintain a more civil environment.

    Pros

    -Prestigious
    -Rigorous
    -Fast paced
    -Interesting
    -Encouraging management
    -Employee participation and feedback appreciated
    -Opportunities for growth
-Supervisor feedback is constructive and pertinent

    Cons

Sometimes there is a discrepancy in communication between the various levels of management, which leads to time being wasted in simply confirming instructions or feedback.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should be a more cohesive approach to task management, in that sometimes the bigger picture gets glossed over while getting caught up in trivialties.
