Long-time employee - great colleagues

Former Employee - Vice President, Account Director  in  New York, NY
Former Employee - Vice President, Account Director in New York, NY

I worked at Jack Morton full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Close-knit employee base, good people, global footprint, wide range of clients, relationships and network of Interpublic Group, commitment to training and development, good corporate citizen in local markets, strong marketing of its own brand

Cons

Growing feeling of commoditization of services, glass ceiling in terms of management opportunity, occasional sister-agency competition on accounts rather than cooperation makes partnering difficult, wavering commitment to strategic approaches versus repeatable approaches, leadership vision could be stronger

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep commitment to deep, trusted relationships in accounts - reinforce commitment to strategic and creative vision to differentiate against other agencies (including IPG ones!)

I have been working at Jack Morton

    Pros

Very friendly group of people to work with. Top management is brilliant. Interesting projects to work on with some of the best minds in the business. Everyone is willing to, and looking for ways to help each other out.

    Cons

Slightly older people. Culture is young but personel does not match that yet. Average age is probably 35, and its hard to get in as a junior.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more young bright minds to fill make the office feel like it aligns with the culture that Jack Morton espouses to be.
