I worked at Jack in the Box full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Corporate side great benefits and home life

Cons

Operations is ran by a bunch of idiots and while there are people with great knowledge and experience are let go. Company did a restructure and outsourced the Auditing department and several other departments many people were let go.. It is all about who you know to stay in the corporate side. Operations... do not I repeat work as a RM for this company you are worked like a dog and treated like a dog. There is NO service and profit chain anymore...

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper and senior management you don't have a clue how to run the business and in time it will show on your bottom line. Quit changing every 3 seconds Jack was a great place to work when Paul was in charge

I have been working at Jack in the Box full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    -Great gym on site
-Cafeteria on site-unfortunately it's a Jack in the Box
    -Alternate work schedule

    Cons

    -Not part of the "in-crowd"
    -Ideas not taken into consideration
    -No communication from manamgement
-Management trying to run the department without knowledge of subject
-Employee's are just a number to executives
-Forcing out employee's with tenure, either by position elimination or early retirement
-People aren't helping each other anymore. Afraid they may be the next person on the chopping block. If you are part of the 'In-crowd" you don't have to worry about this.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Practice what you preach. If you are trying to get away from the power role, then why do you let your managers and directors run amuck stomping their feet until the employee submits to their point of view. Lastly, take a serious look at that in crowd nonesense. It can really hurt a department.

I worked at Jack in the Box part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

It may provide some spending money while in school; gives you experience in the working world; manager may be able willing to work with your schedule if you're in school

    Cons

Open 24/7, including Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years; Weekends are very hard to get as off-days; not many promotion opportunities; very low pay to work-load ratio

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to value your good employees. Maybe even give them a weekend day or two once in a while. Communicating with them as human beings also goes a long way.
