Pros

Plenty of work if you're willing to move around. Offices all over the world. Professional work environment. One of the largest engineering and construction companies in the world. Health benefits are good, lots of flexibility with work hours. Overtime comes up with some regularity and it's paid straight time.

Cons

You need to take care of your own career -- make a lot of friends and connections so you land a spot on the next project.

    Pros

The benefits for the position that I am in are more than fair compared to most other companies. Tuition assistance, training reimbursement, great healthcare plan, and great staff.

    Cons

Confusing ideals. Volatile interoffice relations. Issues with certain people overstepping the bounds of their position. Training issues. Management ignorance.

    Advice to Management

The only complaints that I have are mainly for the USOG specific team. The point of a true consolidated service desk is to use readily available and intelligible directions to solve common issues across the enterprise. This goes double for having separate individual policies. Unless everyone begins to conform on all fronts, it will never be truly consolidated.
