Might be good for someone right out of college to get some experience but not a place to make a career.

I worked at Jalux Americas

The office is located in a nice area close to LAX. Might be a good place for someone right out of college to get some experience. Not too much job related stress compaired to other companies.

This company is a subsidiary of a Japan Airlines which itself is having major financial problems.
There is a huge high turnover at this company. I would say around half the people there leave within one year or less. Management doesn't value keeping employees long term. They get in new hires for as cheap as they can and use them until they move on and then restart the process.

As with most Japanese companies, all Senior Management are from Japan who are rotated out about every 3 years. There are some Managers there that have been working at the company for around 10 years that have to be under the supervision of less experienced staff from Japan that have zero experience with the US operations. Japan expat senior management doesn't really care about the thoughts, ideas, concerns, of the local staff. Very little information gets floated down to the local staff either. If you want to work for a place where your ideas are valued, this is the wrong place for you. Also don't expect to be very appreciated either.

The problem with Japanese companies who have all Senior Management that are expats from Japan on a rotation is that they know one day soon they will be returning to their post in Japan. Therefore, their number one loyalty is to the HQ in Japan even at the expense of the operations in the US. US operations need leadership that wants the best for the US operations.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need Senior Manager from the US who understand that employees need to be valued and it is better to keep a good employee around. Need leadership that wants to involve all employees with decisions and makes people feel valued and respected.
