    Pros

During my time at Janes, I had the chance to work with smart people, work on live engagements, and have fun all at the same time. The strength of the managing directors paired with the industry focus of Janes make for a winning combination and lead to strong deal flow. Also, senior level attention to projects and exposure to seasoned managing directors at the analyst level are very high at this firm. While you will busy, as is to be expected with investment banking, firm management makes a point to keep in place a work hard, non face time culture and often has team outings. Overall, a great place to be from a dealfow, learning, and culture perspective.

    Cons

Due to being a smaller firm, the company does lack a structured training program for analysts. However, this is partially offset by more direct exposure with upper management and mentoring.
