I have been working at Javelin Marketing Group

Pros

Javelin has done a ton of work internally to move the needle. Client list is growing every week. The quality of work is amazing. It seems like momentum is growing for some great things.

Cons

Communication within departments and among departments is a challenge. People are often moving in the same direction, but don't always know it.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great job.

    - 3rd class advertising and CRM agency

I have been working at Javelin Marketing Group

    Pros

    - laid-back working environment
    - friendly employees (excluding senior management, who pretend to be nice and friendly, but are really mean, especially when laying-off employees due to account loss).
    - easy money, you get paid regardless of your contribution and skills (under the condition that clients pay us)

    Cons

    - shrinking revenue year over year, lost clients, just a matter of time when the agency will go belly-up.
    - the agency has managed to keep a couple of pathetic small clients, not because the agency is good, but rather because the clients are either too silly or too lazy to do the simple work themselves.
    - the agency is dishonest, feed their clients with faked numbers in their analytical projects.
    - incompetent senior management (SVP and above), who feel really good about themselves but have no idea at all of what to do to save the company.
    - too much management BS, making tons of claims of new business and clients obtained which never ever materialized.
    - way too many senior managers who are paid well and do not do much work, e.g. in my division of 25+ FTEs, there are 6 VPs and 3 SVPs, plus a bunch of directors and Sr. directors, leaving just 10+ FTEs to do the menial work with meager pay, can you believe that?
    - One analytical team almost execlusively hire Chinese graduates who need green-card sponsorship and in exchange get squeezed year after year for low pay. That team is like a evil Chinese gang in a China town which are kidnapping the agency.
    - the smartest and the most skilled employees had chosen to leave the agency.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Enjoy it while you still can.
