Good deal flow, pays and exits opps.

The senior managmenet takes an active approeach to make sure people are happy and heard of

    Cons

Long hours, no lack of compassion from the senior folks for personal time. Work work work on random pitches that add little value

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep gaining market share, hire senior bankers with relationships and continue to poach talent as other bans struggle to gain from crisis over past few years.

I worked at Jefferies & Company

    Pros

Good place to work if you are looking to work in middle-market. They don't have the brand recognition of other banks outside of financial circles but they do work on some good deals. Comp is similar to other banks although bonuses are probably lower.

    Cons

Still not considered a top shop for M&A compared to other middle-market banks, although they have a decent flow.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out who you are, your core competencies, and strengthen those areas. Don't try to be everything to everybody.
