I worked at Jefferson Dental Clinics

Pros

Easy to land a job with this company. There is always a job opening. The salary is ok compared to other dental corporation. They have several locations.

Cons

You have to be careful before you sign up. "Bait and switch" mentality at this orgnization. Do not sign up, ask to work for a week before you sign up, you will see that it might not be a fit for you. You will see. So do your homework!

I have been working at Jefferson Dental Clinics full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great opportunities for training. The company will teach you everything you need to know, and offers lots of opportunity for growth within the company. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars going to a dental school to become a dental assistant. This company will pay you to learn the job. Almost all managers and regionals have been promoted from within the company. You have to work hard but you can earn good money and be promoted.

    Cons

Some later work days during the week and you also have to work on Saturdays. I miss doing things with my family sometimes. The hours aren't as bad as retail but they are different than most dental offices.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more training for management. Since most clinic managers are promoted from dental assistants they may not have management skills when they are promoted.
