Pros

Enjoy working with customers and seeing their lives transformed. Can be rewarding to help customers lose the weight and become healthier and happier individuals. If you like helping other this can be for you.

Cons

Stressful in having to meet monthly quotas. Company does not show employee appreciation. There was no work/life balance. Had to work long hours and 7 days a week due to high turnover. Pay is low for Sales Representatives. Poor Communication from Home Office in CA. The left didn't seem to know what the right hand was doing. This created customer and employee issues.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Home Office and Divisional Managers - take the time to show care and concern for your overworked employees. Poor communication from Home Office to the field.

    I have been working at Jenny Craig full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Rewarding to work for a company that helps people help themselves get healthier. The program works when clients follow it and is scientifically proven. The food is tolerable long enough to lose weight and keep it off.

    Cons

    Mismanagement and inexperienced leaders combined with no strategic vision and awful technology keeps Jenny Craig trapped in another century, not even the last one. Leaders operate in a stratospheric dream world, are clueless about strategy and have not worked outside of JC or Nestle. Combine that with inflated egos, over focus on attending celebrity events, uber spending and meetings that are love fests where they pat each other on the back for poor results. Inexperience leads them to change direction based on competitor acitons or they robotically follow the advice of the flavor of the month consultant.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Resign and let emplloyees flourish under the leadership of an experienced CEO who has successfully implemented a turn-around strategy. Results don't lie - stop pretending you know what you're doing - it's insulting to the rest of us. We are exhausted and disempowered. Advice to Nestle: Clean house and hire a CEO who has a proven track record of strategic implementation and can model disciplined behavior. He/she doesn't need industry backgorund - this is not rocket science. Install a qualified Marketing Dept, the current configuration of misfits is an embarrassment.

    Pros

    Company has a good health care program. It is rewarding work knowing you are helping people discover a positive vision of themselves.

    Cons

    Jenny Craig has numerous issues. They penalize employees for the very issues that were a direct result of their own doing. They have unrealistic expectations of their employees. There is a great deal of vague expectations that change throughout the course of the year. Their methods of "training" people are very inconsistent. HR is a nightmare!
