Pros

You allow your self an opportunity to understand how to work in a sales environment. Strong communication/people skills. Learn how to become comfortable in a role-playing environment. Practice assumptive dialouge. Empower clients to maintain a healthier lifestyle.
Jenny is a flexible employer as far as needing to take off for family events etc.
Allow you management expereince if needed to build your resume and or increase your sale experience

Cons

Compensation is terrible. As a PD- one can expect to earn anywhere from 1200-2000. Very difficult to budget approrpriately. On avg your monthly income will be 1450. Quotas are beyond unattainable- as a PD you are not given any resources or tools to generate leads- You work with NOTEPAD on the computer or can work off your own personal laptop. No internet access or email access to communitacte to others. Very corporate oriented- no ability to change up the work to earn more money for your self.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

To compensate your PDs prior to traveling to their monthly PD meeting- Allow email access and provide tools for PDs to generate leads- increase retention- and increase RTA s in center. Having notepad is beyond outdated- its 2012. Time to upgrade your centers!

    Pros

You do get a chance to change people's lives if they lose weight, and watch them change. You get attached to the people you meet who really benefit from your training.

    Cons

Jenny Craig does not value its employees and considers 30 hours full time. But at the rate of pay plus commission, 30 hours is not enough to support yourself. Many consultants must maintain a second job to make ends meet. Management also sees clients and takes the food commission whe consultants are available, reducing the amount for hourly employees dependent upon that income.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management needs to listen to the employees, and stop the food and sales commissions from going to the center directors, who get a base salary plus a significantly higher commission for every percentage point over 100% of corporate set quota than the hourly employees. Hourly Employees are on 5% point tiers only over quotas.

    Cons

expect way too much out of you on the DAILY, upper management NOT being professional or in touch with the individual centres!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
