Pros

Jenny Craig offers some good vacation time. No working weekends.

Cons

Management so far disconnected with their employees and no morale boosts at all. They have tons of meetings that accomplish nothing. The Corporate Office in Carlsbad is a joke. No communication with their main warehouse in Rancho Cucamonga and leave them to figure out things at the last minute. They are not held accountable for their actions. They are not up to speed with their computer programs and every time their is a new change it is never done right the first time make the transition a real pain for those utilizing the software they have in place. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. The management puts on act when the big wigs are around. They overload some employees with tons of work while others have nothing to do.

Advice to Management

Practice what you preach is one of the Nestle requirements which you are not doing. Be more sensitive to your employees needs and recognize them and praise them. It's always when there is a mistake that you hear from management. Make the employees that have nothing to do because that are standing around help out the departments that have work and be team players instead of burning out your employees because you wish to just ignore the fact that people have too much time on their hands.

    Pros

Working with Jenny Craig Consultants who truly care about their clients. Teaching people the value of a healthy lifestyle. Watching women become empowered as they take control of their health and fitness.

    Cons

Watching consultants who give so much on a daily basis struggle to make ends meet because of the pay structure. Dealing with management who failsl to market the company properly resulting in very few new clients. Being told to reach out and "Save Starfish" (clients who have not rescheduled), when it clearly about the bottom line and not about the client. Consultants are expected to call clients who haven't been in for years while the company fails to advertise. During these non-client hours consultants are making about $8.25 per hour- less than babysitting money.

    Advice to Management

If you truly believe "We Save Lives", start with the employees who have been loyal for so many years. Pay your consultants a living wage. Market the company so the public knows Jenny Craig is still in business. Acknowledge the people who have generated revenue for you and let them know where the company is headed. Your employees are afraid that any day they will be given a severance check for 2 weeks pay and told their centre is closing after years of hard work and dedication. Centre employees love what they do but they are not shown any gratitude by management.

    Pros

Good benefits, friendly co-workers, nothing else.

    Cons

Very low pay, you work on commission, but they keep having "specials" so it is hard to make any money on commission. Expect JCC to have a "quality"consultation, re-motivate clients, take food order, and pull the clients food all in 15 minutes. If you run over you get a talking too. When not with a client they expect you to be on the phone for 90% of the time calling phone lists that go back to 2002 to ask the person why they haven't come back and inviting them back.

    Advice to Management

They need treat your employee's better. They have a high turnover due to their low pay and high demands.
