I have been working at Jensen Precast full-time for more than a year


Relaxed dress code.
Work schedule was good.


Micromanaged by high levels (Chief Marketing Officer)
Only the "yes" men move up in the company.
"Good ole boy" system in place.
"C" Levels do not appear to communicate with each other as to the direction they're committed to going.
Four "kids" (they're adults, but the CEO's offspring) own the company now. The potential for real career growth is nonexistent now.
CMO manages through "eyes and ears" in all the respective branches, and then promotes these individuals over time. You don't know who to trust, so trust no one.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop moving in million directions at once, getting nowhere. Focus.

    No management or leadership
    family company, little chance for outsiders to advance
    Management doesn't want to hear about potential problems
    Discourages growth, idea sharing or suggestions of any sort
    No succession plan for aging management
    Signs of potential hostile work environment ignored by HR

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Ignoring problems does not make them go away. Learn to deal with problems instead of burying the messengers if the company is to have any chance of survival. Do not make snap decisions without the benefit of fact as this leaves you wide open. A good company still headed by it's founder, the management team needs to do some serious sole searching if it is not to destroy this man's legacy.
