Pros

Great people, nice tasks, overwhelming schedules. Nice environment. Not to bad compensation.
New great office. Task are sometimes boring sometimes interesting, but still give satisfaction.

Cons

Cheap solutions. Interesting employee motivational corporate strategy. Not at all adopted to rapidly changing world, strategy to keep the most important assets in company for longer time.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please change strategy for people that would like to change job, because if we could compete a little bit with others people would stay.

    Pros

Employees are passionate about the company, CEO is very people oriented, good work environment and benefits. Good resouces available from parent company.

    Cons

Decisions take a really long time because of too much collaboration. Everyone who has any degree of remote involvement with a program or initiative has to be consulted before it's implemented. This process slows progress and sets expectations that everyones' input will be included and results in disappointment.

The company's philosophy on learning is too inwardly focused. Human resources eliminated the tuition reimbursement program and put unheard of restrictions on classes for certifications. The company now solely relies on internal training courses which are a lot of fluff and irrelevant. Employees do not have the opportunity to keep up-to-date on new technological skills and emerging practices. This decision personifies the lack of people and business orientation that is prevelant in decisions made by the human resouces leader.

Recently, the company has created such a competitive environment between employees that teamwork is sometimes nonexistent and full of "finger pointing." Teamwork and risk taking are not highly valued in some departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a CIO or CTO to focus on moving the company forward and don't reward or ignore bad behavior by some of the senior leadership.
