    Pros

Good starter job. Depending on the office, good benefits. Free coffee. Overall, friendly and competent co-workers, especially in satellite offices.

    Cons

All the decision-making power is concentrated at the director/upper management level, which means that no one below that is actually empowered to make any commitments. HR seems to be on a mission to drive out all of the smart, talented employees. Jeppesen's idea of technology is about 30 years behind the time, so don't really expect to work with anything cutting-edge.

    Advice to Management

Designing processes has become the company's core business. Either re-structure the company to capitalize on the one activity that you CAN do, or learn to be a technology company once more.

  2. Jeppesen Finance & supplier management makes government employees look like superstars

    Pros

No one reviews works. No accountability. Easy job, as suprevisors do't review any of the work. Great work/life balance!!

    Cons

No accounting experience at manager level or above. No interest in trying to run the business efficiently or getting rid of wasteful spending. Resistance to improving the department.

    Advice to Management

Fire all finance and Supplier management and replace with individuals that knows what they are doing (even government employees would do a much better job). Don't continue to massage the numbers to look good to Boeing. Learn what the numbers mean for content and not just aesthetic value!!
