Pros

Company culture is great. The Crewmembers here are very honest, understanding, and easy to work with. Company has a lot of entrepreneurial spirit.

Cons

JetBlue is a small airline mentality that is slowly shifting towards big airline mentality. This process takes time and some managers & directors do not see the reasons why decisions are made a certain way. Some are quick to jump to conclusions and think negatively without finding out the full picture. There is no feedback system in place to suggest improvement points for management. Performance appraisals are only performed downward (managers to staff) and not upward (staff to managers).

Advice to Management

Better communicate with Crewmembers internally prior to releasing information to the public.

    Pros

    flight benefits, exiting field of work, it is fun if you can overlook the crazyness and uncetainties of the industry but for sure the unfair politics will bring you down

    Cons

    on your feet all day and not allwed to sit down-leads have their click and they get away with anything and everything-if mgmt likes you then you're on your way but if for some reason they dislike you or anything you do they will find a way to make you look bad- you cannot trust leadership (and I use the term very loosely here) favoritism is the norm at jetblue and to top it all they make it seem like they hold their company's values true but they do not.

    Advice to Management

    be fair, say what you mean and mean what you say. get back to the principles that were alive and real when the company started. the only caring is for the profit of the company and to hell with the employees. you can place mandatory overtime but you fail to let people leave early when it is not busy or have an urgent situation unless if benefits the company's bottom line nad penalize those who do have a life and need to be home to take care of their spouses, children or family members.

    Need to have a job. Get free airline travel.

    Cons

    Senior management at oakland airport is terrible. They discriminate against anyone who is not a friend or family member of management.

    Advice to Management

    Quit or go somewhere else.
