Good to start out with but not much of a future.

Sales Associate (Former Employee)
Austin, TX

I worked at JoS. A. Bank

ProsGood learning experience for sales, menswear. Store management seemed generally competent and interested in employees. For someone starting out in sales or interested in a career in menswear, it's better than nothing and there are skills you will pick up.

ConsPoor compensation, micromanaged commission structure, lack of flexibility, confusing promotions. The long-term sales staff seemed dispirited and depressed. Because of the "draw" on commissions you will not make money at this job unless the store has high traffic or high sales, which some of them don't.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet rid of the constant sales and promotional marketing, it confuses the staff and customer alike, plus creates additional work at the same time it tarnishes the brand image.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
